The ground root of a dried, tuberous, tropical perennial. It is a fine powder that ranges in color from light tan to mild gold. It has a warm aroma with a fresh, woody note and sweet, rich undertones. Its flavor is hot, sweet and slightly biting.
This product offers a consistent and easy way to add the flavor of ginger to foods. Since this product is milled using our cool head milling process,you will find that it is stronger in flavor than most of our competitors'products. Durkee Ground Ginger uses only the highest quality ginger.

Start by using 1/8 tsp. per serving and adjust from there. Remember,Durkee Ground Ginger may be stronger than other ginger products. Take care not to use too much as the flavor is strong. Use during the cooking process.
